Do you teach George Orwell’s 1984? We used this iconic dystopian classic as part of literature circles for our seniors last semester. I had never used this book in literature circles before, and that in and of itself presented some challenges because this can most certainly be a challenging book to get through even with a teacher’s help. I don’t know if I would ever use this as a literature circle choice again, but the few students that I had who chose it did so because of the book’s iconic status of being one of those books they felt like they had to read before graduating.
You can find, these posters in my Teachers Pay Teachers store here or clicking on the images below!
And stay tuned as I add more 1984 resources to my Giant 1984, by George Orwell Teaching Bundle!
One of the assignments that the literature circles did was to create a poster for a quote in the book. I made posters for each book as an exemplar… and also so that I could put them in my teacher store for anyone else who might want to use them! I’m currently working on my extended 1984 teaching unit… so stay tuned for a giant bundle that will help teach this challenging book!
There are six posters and each poster comes in 2 sizes – an easy to print on regular paper at 8.5×11 and a regular poster size at 16×20 inches. You could also easily resize the 16×20 to print at 8×10 on your own or at your poster making photo store.
