…because it is that addictively good. Salty crackers, sweet chocolate, held together by a caramely goodness that is really super simple to whip together! Give it a go and try not to eat them all!
Christmas Crack
Salty crackers, creamy caramel, topped of with delicious chocolate... be careful not to gain 5 pounds just looking at this!
Ingredients
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 sticks Unsalted Butter
- 1 package Saltine Crackers (enough to line a pan)
- 1 package chocolate chips (your favorite - dark chocolate, semisweet - whatever you like)
- splash Vanilla Extract (or some bourbon would be nice) optional
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375F.
- Line pan with foil.
- Line foiled pan with saltine crackers, trying to fill entire pan without too many overlaps.
- Melt butter and sugar in pot on stove until melted and almost bubbly.
- Pour and spread over saltines.
- Bake 5-8 minutes until bubbly all over.
- Take pan out and before letting cool off, sprinkle evenly with chocolate chips. Wait a few moments, then spread chocolate like butter.
- Before cooling, add toppings like nuts, sprinkles, peppermints, etc. If desired. Let cool, and gain 4 pounds before dinner by eating half. Enjoy!
- Once cooled, break into pieces and store.
